We were asked by Raptor, a student specialist marketing agency, to produce a promotional video for Bumble UK, the dating app. The campaign revolved around Bumble Honeys taking on their VW camper van on tour to University campuses in Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle and Edinburgh.
WHAT WE DID
Matt, Director of Photography, went out to London to shoot the van in action. We made an marketing promo video for the initial launch on the tour, which was a huge success with getting over 23K views. They have commissioned a second video specifically in Leeds, which will be ready within a few weeks.
For the Bumble video we wanted to subtly introduce the Bumble branded van and the ambassadors for the company. I used a ronin to achieve slow moving, steady and cinematic shots combined with slow motion in camera to achieve a subtle, but cinematic look. We were able to make use of the A7Sii 100fps slow motion due to the bright conditions. I used a mixture of wider shots to show the surrounding area and close ups to focus the viewer towards the Bumble branding and to introduce the Bumble van in a subtle way.
