Chelsea Academy wanted to create a new promotional film for prospective parents (and pupils).
Chelsea Academy are a mixed comprehensive church of England school in the heart of Chelsea’s, Chelsea Harbour area. Chelsea Academy wanted to create a new promotional film for prospective parents (and pupils). It needs to be engaging, energetic and positive; reflecting on life at the school, its pupils and its unique benefits.
Chelsea Academy wanted to showcase both the values and culture within the school; one of diversity and inclusion, as well as the educational benefits; including high attainment and aspirational teaching
Learning and academic excellence are of the utmost importance to the Chelsea Academy, and it was crucial this was highlighted in the narrative of the film. The film’s narrative will also reflect the features, values and culture of a Church of England School. The film needed to be high energy and reflective of the joy within the school to reinforce the positive message.
The school has wonderful facilities across Sports, Music, Science and Art and it was important that this was showcased throughout the film. The building is architecturally stunning, so highlighting many of its features definitely helped promote the films objectives.
What we did
How we created the content
We worked with Chelsea Academy to create several creative concepts before settling on one that was fast paced and high energy. It had narrative highlighting all of the specialisms and facilities of the school, focusing on the positive, apirational and joyful image the school wanted to portray. We filmed across two filming days with a 3 person team, with staged scenes as well as candid filming. We used both ground and drone filming
What was the final result?
We finalised the film way ahead of schedule before the end of term. The film will therefore be ready to launch to parents considering the school across the summer for their children going in to Year 7 and Sixth Form.
