Dimensions – Specsavers style advert
We worked with Dimensions to create a short video in the style of the iconic specsavers ad
Dimensions are one of the UK’s leading providers of bespoke corporate clothing services and also have several large international clients. Dimensions have started to use more video and visual content to support their sales services, brand identity and marketing strategies.
Based in Castle Donington, in the East Midlands, they are a local company who approached our Nottingham office to help them create something a little different for a customer pitch.
Dimensions’ marketing team wanted to re-create an advert released by Specsavers in 2019 featuring football icon, Ian Wright. You can view the original by clicking here.
They wanted the video to be unmistakably inspired by the advert, but have its own unique script and topic which would directly relate to the Dimensions brand and product. With Ian Wright not being available, and agreed budgets being potentially less, we had to think creatively about how we would do it.
The video needed to be short and captivating but also have an element of humour and endearment.
What we did
How we created the content
This video was all about the preparation. We worked with the Dimensions marketing team to confirm the amended script and prepare a shot list. Although the style of the video looks relatively simple, lighting would be key and the use of a studio essential.
We set up the studio the day before the shoot so we could run some tests. Audio clarity and consistency was very important and this was perhaps the hardest thing to get right within the budget allocated.
What was the final result?
Our team really enjoyed working on this project because it was very different to a lot of our event based work and allowed us to get creative in the studio.
Dimensions loved the final video and we hope to work with them again on future projects.
