Video Production / Photography / Direct to client
We were asked by Mantra to produce high quality photo and video coverage of their festival to document the event and for future promotion. We first set about drawing inspiration of what the client wanted the videos and photos to achieve, they needed to maximise the effect of the production, crowd and the artists in order to reach maximum engagement.
What We Did
Before the shoot, we drew up a draft storyboard and shot list to ensure we didn’t miss anything on the night. This included the headline acts and our introduction to the video which involved filming the set-up of the stages, sound system and lighting for the festival. With a team of 3, Sam and Matt on the video production side and Jack on photography we headed up to Manchester to capture the madness of 3000 people in Manchester Academy.
Our intro, using audio effects and video clips of the venue set-up was great at building anticipation of the event and the rest of the video. The edit really captured the atmosphere of the event with fast changes switching from close ups of people dancing, to wide crowd shots to lights, smoke and strobes.
The photo album really captured the energy and vibrancy of the night; with a mix of natural light and flash photography; mainly concentrating on artists, stages, production and the crowd. The full album from Jack is available to view here: Mantra 002
