Red Bull – Can you make it

We produced a video featuring the Red Bull Racing Factory as part of Red Bull’s Checkpoint Challenge

We created a fun and energetic video as part of Red Bull’s – Can you make it Challenge.


Background

Red Bull contacted us in the weeks leading up to the CYMI2016 series to ask for some photography coverage for the day. They then followed up with a request for some video footage for their international team. The brief was to keep the photos playful and rich in content and colour and the video to be a mix of wide angle, detailed action and interviews with team members.

Scope

In addition to long form video content such as the traditional aftermovie, we developed a plan to shoot and edit a long list of short form digestible video content which would take a closer look at individual activities and experiences as well as promote the diversity in nightlife and music genres. On top of that we planned and shot content to promote next years festival including artist announcement videos and festival launch videos. Finally, we provided a full onsite editing studio to generate content daily to push out via social media, six edits in six days.

How we tackled Red Bull’s films.

Part way through the day we spoke to the RBR comms team and they asked us to make a short mini edit for them to put on their website. We kindly obliged and it can be found here: RedBull Racing CYMI Video. 

 


The outputs

What was the final result?

By the end of the week we had filmed close to 4TBs worth of rushes and each staff member had been filming for nearly 60 hours each. 

The main part of the footage was delivered to the RB International Team an formed part of the RB TV coverage of the event and promotional material for following year.
