Stealth – Halloween Event at Wollaton Hall
Stealth, in partnership with DHP, hosted the biggest Halloween party in Nottingham; and we were there to capture it.
Background
Stealth and DHP chose the most amazing setting for their 2019 Halloween Festival. Set in the grounds of Wollaton Park, with the famous Hall as a backdrop, the atmosphere was not lacking for the 2 day festival over the Halloween weekend in October.
The client was keen to capture the essence of this unique location, as well as the themed costumes, entertainment and of course, the huge headliners.
Scope
The aftermovie we made had to reflect the theme and atmosphere of Halloween but also showcase the high profile House and Tech House DJ’s on stage throughout the weekend. The music and the music lovers needed to remain the focus, and of course showing off the location was key. The client was keen to keep the video moving, not dwelling too much on any aspect, so as to create the feeling of a non-stop party.
The festival was across 2 full days so we had to make sure we got a nice balance between day time content outside; including the Zombie entertainers and food stalls, and night time footage inside the arena featuring the headliners and the fancy dress ravers.
The Content

What we did
How we created the content
We created a short highlights video from across the 2 days. We wanted to include a hint of narrative but this was really to set the scene and showcase the unique grounds and setting of Wollaton. The video is fast paced and full of colour, featuring some epic final shots of the closing acts.
The outputs
What was the final result?
This shoot coincided with our first outing using the Red Gemini; it was a great test for it in low light, dark filming conditions. It didn’t disappoint.
We look forward to returning to Wollaton Park for next year’s events.
